We recently returned from a trip to Hawaii to visit family, vacation with good friends, and watch the Oregon State Beavers in a victory at Aloha Stadium. I snapped this photo on our descent into Portland thinking that this would be the last time we'd be coming back "home" for a while. Not too long ago, I gave notice in my role as an Operations Manager with a premier staffing provider to take on a new adventure as an expat wife and stay-at-home mom in SE Asia. The past month has been a roller coaster of chaos as we purge our life [sell, pack, and give away our stuff] in preparation for Matt's [new] position with Nike. In just over a week, we'll be headed on a 7,481 mile journey to Ho Chi Minh City – formerly Saigon, Vietnam. While our 16-month old toddler is a pretty seasoned traveler, this will be his first international flight. Wish us luck!
