Two years ago today, we said goodbye to Portland and set off on a new adventure in HCMC, Vietnam. Here's a quick look back on our expat life:
Countries visited: Vietnam, Jamaica (without Elijah), Philippines, and Thailand...Matt also made his way to China a couple of times for work!
Family trips to the beach (in country): 8
Places traveled in Vietnam: Nha Trang, Phan Thiết, Phú Quốc, the Mekong Delta, Mũi Né, Da Nang, Hội An, and Huế
Friends and family who came and visited us: 14 people
New friends made from all around the world: COUNTLESS!
We've tried new foods, explored new places, and gotten way outside of our comfort zone. It's been a crazy ride and a wonderful adventure. We have plenty more we want to see and I'm excited to see what the next couple of years will bring!
Fun fact: Elijah has lived in Vietnam longer than he's lived in the USA...just look how little he was taking his first international flight!
